Mobile Passport Photos in Richmond Hill—We Come to You
A walk-in photo shop can be a good option when you can travel easily and want the lowest price. Our at-home passport photo service solves a different problem: you do not need to arrange transportation, wait in a store or move a baby or mobility-limited family member into an unfamiliar setting.
We set up in a suitable area of your location, guide the applicant into the required position and check the frame, expression, lighting and background before delivery. You receive one-on-one attention instead of a rushed counter-service experience.

Canadian Passport Photo Requirements
For a Canadian passport application submitted in person or by mail, the Government of Canada requires two identical, unaltered printed photos taken by a commercial photographer. Eligible online renewals use a digital passport photo. Requirements can change, so always check the current official Canadian passport photo specifications for your application.
- Printed photo size: 50 mm wide by 70 mm high
- Face height from chin to crown: 31 mm to 36 mm
- A neutral expression, closed mouth and eyes clearly visible
- Even, uniform lighting without shadows, glare or red-eye
- A plain white or light-coloured background with clear contrast from the face and clothing
- An original image with no filters, retouching, AI alteration or other digital manipulation
We photograph and review the image against the applicable specifications, but the final decision always belongs to the passport authority. If a photo-related concern is identified, contact us promptly so we can review it with you.
Who Benefits Most From an At-Home Appointment?
Babies and young children
A familiar home environment gives parents more control over feeding, naps and timing. We allow enough time to work patiently with the child while following the special rules for baby passport photos. Learn more about our infant passport photo service at home.
Seniors and people with limited mobility
We can photograph clients in a comfortable seated position and adapt the portable setup to the available space. This is especially useful for retirement residences, care homes and clients who are unable to travel. For more complex accessibility needs, see our information about passport photos for bedridden clients.
Families and busy professionals
Several applicants can be photographed during one visit, which can reduce disruption and make the per-person cost more practical. Evening and weekend times may be available by appointment.

What to Wear and How to Prepare
- Choose a medium or dark solid-colour top so your shoulders are easy to distinguish from the light background.
- Avoid uniforms, camouflage, large logos and very reflective fabrics.
- Keep hair away from the eyes and arrive without heavy glare-producing makeup.
- Glasses are not prohibited in every situation, but glare, tinted lenses and frames covering the eyes can cause problems.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much is a mobile passport photo in Richmond Hill?
Eligible local adult appointments start at $79 CAD for the first applicant. Standard GTA mobile service and specialized baby or senior sessions start at $100, while extended-area appointments start at $120. Additional applicants photographed at the same address during the same appointment are $25 each. The final price is confirmed before booking.
Can you take a baby passport photo at home?
Yes. A home visit can be much easier for a newborn or young child because the session can work around feeding and sleep. The child still needs to meet the applicable Canadian passport photo rules.
Do you photograph seniors in retirement homes or care facilities?
Yes, with permission from the facility and enough room for the portable setup. Tell us about seating, mobility or positioning needs when requesting the appointment.
Do I need printed or digital passport photos?
It depends on the application method. In-person and mail applications generally require two identical printed photos, while an eligible online passport renewal uses a digital passport photo. Confirm your application type before the session.
Are same-day appointments available?
Same-day or urgent appointments may be available depending on the photographer’s schedule and your location. Contact us with your preferred time and deadline for the fastest answer.
